My brother, Jack Dickerson was in your facility from 28 April 2020 until 30 April 2020 when he died. I had to pay $6500 up front for 30 days in advance. We all knew he had begun the dying process. I was told that they would refund the excess. I have called now, MANY times, and keep getting. "the check is in the mail." 4 months later NOTHING, and certainly not an apology. RecommendedI have been an STNA for 36 years and have worked in the same building all those years under several companies. Altercare has been amazing to me and the residents that reside there. They require that we follow state guidelines and that all residents are treated with respect and dignity. I am proud to be a member of the great team that I work for. Thank you Altercare for making a wonderful home for our residents and a great environment for the staff to work!

RecommendedMy Mom is in memory care. She has been in 3 facilities in the last 10 years. She is home to stay. These guys know how to make you feel they love your family too.

RecommendedNot every nursing home is perfect but I can say my father has always been taken care of at this facility and I would choose Thornville over Lanfair any day. Bigger facilities aren’t always better!

Facility is very short staffed, often very late with medications if given at all. There are a few wonderful staff members including the physical therapy crew but the bad ones are completely incompetent and should not be in the medical field.
