I finally found a place that does a fantastic "original hem" for my jeans!!! (also known as a "tricky hem") I am 5'1" and 95% of my jeans need to be shortend but I don't want to lose the original "frayed" hem. Great little shop! Friendly people, I am getting married next year and I know where I will be taking my dress as well.

I was recommended to this shop by one of my friends. I found the entire process of the fitting to the picking up of my bridesmaid dress to be PAINLESS! My pocketbook was also very happy. The prices were more than fair - I know as I did some checking. I will continue to bring my business there for all my clothes. I am a petite size 4 and almost everything I buy or own needs some sort of adjustment. Great place!

Please do yourself a favor and check the reviews on yahoo!Local first. I wish I had done it before going to this shop. And I would have given them no star if i could. anyways, bad service, bad alters. not professional at all. we took a flower girl dress there and the way it was altered on the straps were some makeshift works, but asked for professional cost. there are some triangles sticking out on both sides of the shoulders. i reasoned with them, and then we were told that's the way it is for what we paid for. but they did... read more

I am sent to Alterations and More by the Brides' Room to have a dress altered. I was very pleased with the couple that run the business and the work that was done on the dress. They are very professional and Angela is a great job. I was running late and called. They stayed so I could pick up the dress. I will be going there again in the future. Even though it is out of my way from Chicago.
