Sport jacket - shorten 2 sleeve cuffs. Visit #1: drop-off and marking, Visit #2: pick-up. Visit #3 - return - sleeve lining not shortened along with sleeve (hung below cuff opening). Visit #4: pick-up - lining still hangs below cuff (not actually adjusted?), waited until actually done. VISIT#5: returned again - other sleeve had tick-stitch, waited until this other sleeve actually done. No refund (refused coupon for "next??" purchase! Do not pay upfront - wait to see results. I have had several pairs of pants and jeans altered here, and even sent my best friend's boyfriend here for last-minute alterations ahead of a wedding. Not overly personal, but fast and efficient service.

The person doing alterations is absolutely terrible. I brought in a skirt that needed a smile alteration. They sewed the skirt backwards- so the two front pockets were in the back! The sewing was terrible as well... looked like someone who had never used a sewing machine sewed the skirt. I ended up taking the skirt to another place on Shorter Ave. The woman there was able to salvage the skirt and said she has had to fix many things from Alterations Express.

Generally rude people who treat you like you know nothing about clothing. Took several pairs of pants in at once and specifically asked for a little breathing room. All came back to tight. They told me I was crazy and the pants were fine. On another occassion I took a jacket in for alterations and they told me I was better off to buy another one that fit better and it was too much work to do what I was asking. There is an unfortunate lack of tailors in this town which is why the walmart of tailors is booming.

My longtime friend and tailor passed away in May. I was looking for someone to hem a slip. They wanted $26.00!! I grew up in the Dry Cleaning business (in NC) I may have been a bit spoiled by my friendly long-time relationship with my tailor but PLEASE! That was highway robbery..to cut ans straight stitch on a machine! Needless to say, I found someone else...$10...took her 5 minutes. I had to click one star...I would have given them zero!

I took a dress to them on a Saturday to have a neckline covered which they said would be around $30.00 and would be ready on Thursday. Well, I got a phone call from them on Wednesday, the day before I was suppose to pick it up, stating they didnt wish to do the work. She stated there was too much involved in the repair! I dont mind that they did not want to do the work, but a call before the day I was supposed to pick it up is totally unacceptable.

Adam is an excellent barber. He maintains a clean yet comfortable space that smells and feels like the Barber shops of yesterday. He is friendly and good natured guy. The only complaint is his hours (Closed on Saturday, Sunday and Monday), are the worst possible for me personally. Sadly I've had to find a new Barber, because of this, which is a real shame since I greatly prefer Adam and the Plaza Barber Shop.

Adam is an exellent Barber. His shop brings back a by gone era of where a Barber shop was once a "gathering place", to see and meet new friends.
