Very unprofessional. Made an in person appointment. Drove to the address given me and was told my appt was with someone else per telecom. I insisted it was in person or I would not have the name of the counselor or the address, but was assured I was wrong. 😳 Would never have driven in if wasn't in person. Took 15 minutes to get connected to telecom with the help of the staff. The Counselor they connected me to was fine. No complaints. Next week tried to connect but the telecom wouldn't work so called the office to say again... read more
My 4 year old grandson started attending Alta Vista's preschool this fall (2024) and loves it! Previously, he attended public developmental pre-school for a year and a half with a larger class size. The daily demands and structure there, especially waiting in line until it was time to walk into class, and again at the end of class, was a bit overwhelming for him. The Education Director and the Executive Director were incredibly supportive and provided guidance that helped me during the enrollment process when enrolling my 1st grader into their private school. Their unwavering patience, empathy, understanding, and knowledge about neurodiversity helped me as a loving parent to make a well-informed decision to enroll my 1st grader at Alta Vista Private School. In the beginning it was great. When we got a new staff it all went downhill. My son was accused of something so heinous it makes me sick. Even after they were told they had their facts wrong. They will not change the records or even apologize for the heinous allegations that were made, consideringthe allegations can destroyhis life. I would have gave 0 stars if that were an option.
As a parent of a child and a teen who has attended Alta Vista in some way or shape, I cannot express how grateful I am for the services they provide. The Parents Night Out events have been a godsend, allowing us as parents to have a much-needed break, knowing out kids are in a safe and nurturing environment. The respite groups have been a lifeline, offering valuable support and resources for our family.
