Dr Austin has done many surgeries in my family from my father in law gall bladder to my husband who had his appendix ruptured, my son in law with a hernia to myself with a gall bladder removal to the most recent my grandson with an emergency removal of his appendix. He has always been professional and has done a great job I would highly recommend Dr Austin

As I read Denise's review I was reminded of an ad I saw in the paper that Dr Alston was doing weight loss surgery! I was horrified! If he can't do a simple hernia surgery how can he do weight loss surgery? Do you know Drs Roller and Kaun at Roller Weight Loss Clinic train for a complete year in nothing but weight loss surgery? It's fellowship trained. Docs like Alston got to a weekend class! Please avoid using Dr Alston. 18 years ago, after two abdominal hernia repairs that went wrong, he decided to attempt a third one, on a vastly larger scale. As most patients do, in good faith, I trusted his expertise. He involved a plastic surgeon to assist. Post surgery the site fell apart, got infected and became, to keep the story short, a first rate nightmare of hospitalizations, pain that you couldn't possibly imagine, and months of healing.
