They sold my wife cotter pins even though she asked for shear pins. Not knowing the difference is inexcusable for an outboard dealer. It could have left me stranded if I had not been able to jury rig with a piece of nail. There was no apology when she drove all the way back to get the correct pins.
We have a ‘89 seaswirl striper. The boat had an old Johnson outboard which I couldn’t keep running. Nobody I spoke with would even consider looking at it let alone work on it due to its age. We spoke with Jim at Al’s Sport Center and he did look at it for us. Long story short the motor was gone. Water in 2 of the 4 cylinders and no ignition and low compression in one of the cylinders.
