Justin helped me out with a generator and surg protector issue. I had already called 5 different shops and no one could figure it out. I talked to him, he made some calls and within a few hrs, he called me back with a solution and saved the weekend. Very helpful!
We took our Travato to Al's because of an error code related to the exhaust fan. They worked wit Truma to diagnose and repair and it is up and running again. We also bought new AGM batteries and Sumo stabilizers. These made a big difference in how the Rv handles. Justin was helpful and friendly and kept us informed as to status and cost. We had a good experience and recommend them.
Andy and his staff are very professional and experienced! They follow up and follow through from the front desk to the mechanics. We have had our two mortorhomes (Tradewinds and Newmar Essex) plus a tow vehicle serviced with them for over 5 years. Since the company name hasn't changed in the past 22 years but ownership has, we highly recommend Al's RV in Bellingham, WA!!!
A few months ago I had a problem with my RV. Al's worked on it and afterwards there was a problem. Al's refunded what they charged me AND took care of the problem! You learn a lot about a service business when things don't go as planned, and Al's RV in Bellingham went above and beyond to make things right. I highly recommend.
Slow to learn, I wasted the benefit of the doubt (repeatedly) on these guys! $2700 spent 2010-2012. Far too many poorly executed repairs or scheduled work not completed as promised. Last straw July 2012 with only 1 of 5 requested repairs done competently. Poor results outweigh seemingly attractive hourly service rate! I understand that business was sold summer 2012 to employee technician and father. New owner technician himself did many of the shoddy repairs to my trailer while an employee there. I would not do business with these guys unless you get a firm written not-to-exceed quote, otherwise expect to be overcharged. I took in a boat trailer to get 1 wheel bearing repacked and one new bearing-buddy because one had fallen off. They told me it would be done that day. It was not. The next day I received a call from Al's in which they told me that one wheel bearing was bad and the others marginal. I asked what it would cost to replace them all and was quoted approx. $250.
