Executive Assistant Best gardening center in the Portland metro area. They have a wide variety of plants, trees and shrubs and plenty of helpful hands on duty. It is hard to not spend an hour or two walking around this place planning your next landscaping project. It is overwhelming in size, but has everything you need.
Great Selection They have a very nice selection. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. The prices are reasonable and you can usually catch a sale. Their veg starters are better than other nurseries around this area.
outstanding help Al's has more than plants. The have several large gift areas inside and during the various holidays, they carry items related to that holiday. I just bought several indoor plants from them and they had someone walk around the store with me showing me various plants and helping me pick ones which are not poisonous to my dogs and are appropriate for the amount of light in my house.
garden and plants If you need any type of plants, flowers or trees they are the place to go. Their plants are beautiful and hardy. Be sure to allow time to browse the inside. Very unusual assortment of gifts and not just ones to buy for your garden.
nice plants, friendly staff I love to wander around Al's. They always have great displays to show off their new products. Their plants are always healthy looking. They have a beautiful selection of pots and stone too as well as indoor accessories.
Flower Heaven My mom and I like to come here around Mother's Day weekend on our way to Spirit Mtn Casino. :) This is a garden lovers dreamland with colors popping from everywhere at that time of year. Flowers galore and a huge, huge place to walk around, indoors and out. A lot of helpful & knowledgeable people around. Just a short drive outside of Portland, maybe 30 minutes.
Great place to get needed garden supplies Al's is a great place to pick up new and interesting garden supplies. They have hard to find varieties of plants and garden supplies in large selections. They also sell seeds and have a coffee bar. PROS: CONS: expensive
