Had a great experience—Al is hands down one of the most accommodating and genuinely nice people you’ll meet. He really takes the time to understand what you want and makes sure you leave feeling confident. Easily the best barber I’ve been to. Highly recommend!
I've been going to Al for 2+ years now and I never leave disappointed. Update: I received a haircut from Al’s son and just wanted to say that it is a phenomenal cut as well. He’s a talented barber.
Frequently walk, bike and drive down Thorndyke but never noticed the Barber Shop before. Happened to be driving by and overdue for a haircut, walked in on a Monday afternoon, previous customer was just leaving and the proprietor gave me a great cut at a very reasonable Sr. discount price. I'll be going back as long as I still have hair. UPDATE 10/28/25: Al's has moved to Magnolia Village - just a block from my house!
