I've been going to Al for 2+ years now and I never leave disappointed. Update: I received a haircut from Al’s son and just wanted to say that it is a phenomenal cut as well. He’s a talented barber.
Frequently walk, bike and drive down Thorndyke but never noticed the Barber Shop before. Happened to be driving by and overdue for a haircut, walked in on a Monday afternoon, previous customer was just leaving and the proprietor gave me a great cut at a very reasonable Sr. discount price. I'll be going back as long as I still have hair. UPDATE 10/28/25: Al's has moved to Magnolia Village - just a block from my house!
I love Al! He is a good dude. I’m always happy with him. Been going to him for a few years now. I usually do a skin fade and get my beard done. I’m pretty satisfied and recommend Al
