Poorly developed products, lackluster customer service. I've struggled with getting my airbag vest to work consistently (Tech Air 10) and the customer service is generally poor. I was quoted 1-2 weeks for a repair on my air bag, and it took 4 weeks to be done. They claimed to be unable to ship 2-3 day so that I could have my air bag by my next race. My riding boots safety strap failed on… My riding boots safety strap failed on both shoes in less than 1 year of ownership. And less than 6 months of actual usage. I contacted them- the only option offered was to send the shoes to them on my dollar and wait 10-15 days for the repairs and wait for a return shipment. Horrible customer service. Not very friendly. I have several products from alpinestar that are now up for sale or donations. I won't be wearing or recommending the brand anymore
Carbon fiber is separating, gloves only worn a few times. Very low quality.
I bought a TechAir 10 which was terribly glitchy and deffective (anyone who has one experiences this). I was glad to find that after many emails and trying different fixes, AlpineStars offered to trade my Tech 10 for a Tech 7X (lesser value). As it was time sensitive, I shipped the Tech 10 to their shop in Torrence. It wss delivered in 3 days. They told me the Tech 7X would be shipped within 3 days. It took double that. Which was fine.
