I bought many Alpinestars products and a lot are failing after one or two uses. The cult 8 jeans button snapped off, smx gloves tore after 3 rides. I have to quit buying this cheap gear.
Alpinestars Tech-Air Off-Road Airbag System. Extremely disappointed with Alpinestars customer support regarding safety equipment transparency. When I contacted their US support line to ask how a customer can verify the manufacturing date of an electronic Tech-Air airbag system before purchasing, I was told that "no one can tell you" and that you simply have to buy it first and find out afterward. Poorly developed products, lackluster customer service. I've struggled with getting my airbag vest to work consistently (Tech Air 10) and the customer service is generally poor. I was quoted 1-2 weeks for a repair on my air bag, and it took 4 weeks to be done. They claimed to be unable to ship 2-3 day so that I could have my air bag by my next race. My riding boots safety strap failed on… My riding boots safety strap failed on both shoes in less than 1 year of ownership. And less than 6 months of actual usage. I contacted them- the only option offered was to send the shoes to them on my dollar and wait 10-15 days for the repairs and wait for a return shipment. Horrible customer service. Not very friendly. I have several products from alpinestar that are now up for sale or donations. I won't be wearing or recommending the brand anymore
Carbon fiber is separating, gloves only worn a few times. Very low quality.
