Alpine school district really needs to consider what kind of people they’re putting on their school busses. I had a special needs student that I was hesitant about sending on the bus. In August 2025, we visited the Alpine School District Transportation office in American Fork, Utah. Alpine School District is the largest school district in Utah, and there are many School buses there. For Alpine School Bus drivers, they pay $24.59 per hour for about 25 hours of work per week, and for 179 work days per year. This could be a good part-time job for someone who is willing to work a split shift, wants the same schedule as school-age kids, or wants to earn extra income.
