Love, love, love this place!! We come back every year and always look forward to the next trip. The facilities are great, with a pool table, fuse ball, BBQ, playground and more. Externally, this place is heaven, nature at its finest, and if you are lucky like us, you might see echidna, platypus, fish, and frogs (only if you go searching for them). Internally, the rooms are spacious, with all the convenient amenities you will need. Lulu and pip are the friendly mascots (dogs) who love to run and play and give loads of cuddles... read more
We had an incredibly relaxing and peaceful weekend at Alpine Riverside Cottages! The owner are absolutely fantastic—so warm and attentive to guests. A major highlight was meeting Lulu and Peep; those adorable pets provided plenty of cuddles, which was a huge plus. The river is right there, only steps away from the cottages, offering such a serene and calming backdrop. Thank you so much for an absolutely incredible stay. This place is perfectly situated on the river and I just loved sitting by the banks or watching the birds from my window. Highly recommended!
I was in Porepunkah for work and couldn’t have asked for a better home away from home. The rooms are basic but clean and warm, and have everything you need. Bed was super comfy. The view of the Ovens River - and the snow capped mountain behind it - was stunning. Loveliest of all was the staff and their dogs. I can’t wait to come back someday for a holiday.
