I have bought a lot of equipment here over the last 20 years but I won't be back. The last few times I have been in there I don't even get an answer to my hello and when I asked the owner how he was, I got nothing so I asked again and got another. It's called being polite. I had to wait nearly 20 minutes for service the second to last time I was there while he chatted to another customer about anything but what he was selling and then took a phone call. I've been buying my garden tools at Alpine Mowers for over 13 years. Advice and customer service have always been spot on during this time. I've always felt well looked after.
Needed a mower looked at on site. was told rates were $130 an hour. service man came solved problem in approximately half an hour. Blocked fuel line. No parts were supplied and I was told it would probably happen again (despite the fact I filter fuel). Was billed $150. When I questioned the amount was told I was charged an hour plus a bit as service man had to stop what he was doing and travel up and back plus car and petrol. I'm 10min up the road. Headed here based on a few glowing recommendations. Checked google maps for the Christmas hours, with NY day and Christmas day they're closed. Travelled a fair way to get some tools, only to arrive and see a hand written note on the door saying they're closed for a few weeks. In this day and age, the least you could do is update the hours on google maps or Facebook. Guess a different shop will get my business now.
