Best Board Shop in Olympia – This is my favorite place to go when I need my board waxed or tuned. They have the best prices and are actually experienced in working on equipment unlike some of the other board shops in the area who have unexperienced people working on your equipment. Whenever any of my friends who do not own their own equipment want to come up to the mountain with me, I always take them there to rent their gear. These people don't understand customer service or fair play. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. They are all ears & smiles if you are buying, but deaf if you want to return something, or receive refund per their sales agreement. (within 30 days) If you try to call customer service, expect a long wait. VERY LONG WAIT. They deserve a zero Star Rating, but this website made me give at least one Star.

Alpine Experience Alpine Experience has very knowledgable staff both for the gear they sell and for getting out and having fun in the outdoors. They were able to recommend some great trips. They also rent gear.

Extremely knowledgable workers I came to Alpine Experience the first time I tried to climb a mountain and had absolutely no idea what I was doing. The people who work there are extremely helpful and patient. They helped me rent some of the gear, such as an ice axe, and crampons, and helped me buy the rest. They knew what I would need and helped me pick the equipment that was right for me without breaking the bank. They're not as big as REI, but the personal attention was really refreshing.

This is THE place to buy ski equipment or have skis worked on... Anytime we need bindings mounted, skis tuned or repaired we come here and they do an amazing and fast job. They can tackle unusual requests too, or mount difficult or complex bindings or do base repairs. The people who work on them are great to talk to and answer questions with intelligence and obviously a lot of experience.
