Upon entering, it was clear the room had not been cleaned. Red pill capsules split in half, instant noodle sauce packets and ripped in half cigarettes were on the draws and in the draws. The sheets had recent stains, food, dog hair and string on them, indicating they had not been changed. Do not stay here, the key was left in the room and door unlocked, our room was left messy with dog food scattered everywhere, pills left lying around and noodle packets left opened. We had also found half a cigarette left in a drawer. The owner and staff gave us the wrong number to message and was very hard to get a hold of. The bed looked like it had been slept in prior to myself and my partner being in the room. Booked for my husband as he travelled via motorbike up to QLD. Red flags waving when he was asked to write his credit card details on plain paper- not a check-in form. Stated their EFT machine was broken. Not sure how they operate as key pickup was in a service station, but they can’t swipe his card? Sounded suss so he booked a lovely room in town not that much more than this place was charging. Alpine Country Motel Cooma: Snowy Mountains hospitality at its finest! Just off the Monaro Highway, this gem feels like a warm hug after a long drive from Sydney or the slopes. My queen room was spotless, quiet, and perfectly cozy—thick blankets, a spot-on reverse-cycle air-con, and a little kitchenette with real coffee plunger, local milk, and Tim Tams waiting.
