Best playground woodchips in Victoria — hands down. I spent a while calling and visiting landscape supply yards around Victoria trying to find good quality playground chips for a backyard play area. Most places either didn't carry a certified engineered wood fiber product or the quality wasn't close. North Saanich Soil & Aggregates was the best I found, and it wasn't a hard call. This was my first time using North Saanich Soil and I was very impressed . Whether you need it delivered or you want to pick it up, they make it very easy for you. Gabe was very pleasant to deal with and very knowledgeable. They went the extra mile for me to ensure I had my material when I needed it without hesitation. I just moved in the area and they will definitely be my “go to place” for anything soil, crushed stone, etc. Great local small business with great service.

NSS (previously Almosta…) is my first choice for materials such as sand, crushed rock, river rock, and soil. All of these materials are available in all sizes and grades. Prices are more than fair. The yard is clean, very well organized and accessible for any size vehicle. Delivery is also available.
