Almon is the an okay company to work for. I worked there for nine months and the environment there was very tough and not the greatest. Sure I learned a couple of things when it comes to inspections, servicing and repairs on various class 6 to 8 vehicles, but the experience itself was there for a purpose. Almon is a joke. I worked here and had a breakdown in thorold with a street sweeper. Dispatch was an alcoholic and told me to figure it out myself leaving me stranded in thorold. I had to google the owners personal number to figure out what to do. He eventually sent me an Uber back to Toronto, then tried to blame me for the malfunction when it was later determined to be the mechanics fault. They tried to sent a kid with a G license up to Thunder Bay with a DZ crash truck. (Kid asked me why truck wasn’t moving when he put it ... read more
