Very reasonable, very knowledgeable, did an outstanding putting a new motor on my boat.
We live aboard our trawler, and we mostly anchor out, so our tender is absolutely necessary. It is powered by a Tohatsu 30HP. Our throttle cable and key switch we're both broken. We were passing through South Jersey on our way to Maine. I called Almar and explained our situation to Alan. He told me to bring it in, and he'd take a look at it. I brought it to him on a Monday. I have a 4hp 4-stroke motor I that powers a small dinghy I use as a tender for my sailboat. If that motor doesn't work reliably, I'm stuck at anchor and cannot get to shore (or I row or swim). The 4hp motor has not been used in 4 years and I needed to get it running so I could take off on a sailing trip. Had an amazing experience with Almar Marine! They were extremely helpful and got me the piece I needed immediately. I have an old Tohatsu outboard and was worried about finding help with the repairs and they happened to be working on the same motor in the shop. I fully plan on going back there for everything I need regarding my engine, and all my future engines as I plan to buy my next motor from them! Can’t recommend enough! Almar Marine was extremely helpful to me and I couldn’t have asked for more
