Dr. Charles Schafer is highly recommended! I recently had an unusual injury involving sea urchin spines that required surgical removal. Naturally I was nervous and unsure of what to expect. Thank you, Dr Schafer. The purpose of my visit was to repair a Mohs surgery on my scalp. The procedure left a large open wound (bone exposed) on my head. During the consultation, I explained that I was a cancer survivor, and the idea of a permanent bald spot was very upsetting. He listened to my concerns and presented a procedure where he would make a pinwheel incision, shave the bone to promote blood flow , and manipulate the skin to cover the wound.
