When we got coverage it was good since then any changes it has been a head ach - hours on hold - one time the change never updated on the policy even though I got a new pink card - emailed asking if we could add through email since we have been calling and eve when you wait its for hours and they said no only phone and app - the app wont let us add a ATV and tells us to call.
Been with Allstate for years, have no issue with the agents other than it’s nearly impossible to get a hold of anyone on the phone, wait times of well over an hour every time I call. The biggest issue was dealing with my claim. Adjuster was nearly impossible to get a hold of, never answered any of my phone calls and never returned any of my voicemail messages(I left at least 6 or 7) finally after 7 days I got a hold of them. Once again can not talk to anyone. 1.5hrs on hold. Save yourself the frustration and deal with companies that want your business. I did not want to even give one star.
I called Allstate today. Wait time was supposed to be 84 minutes. In the past they usually offered call back option, which today they did not. After being on hold for 2:05 hours, it said that the call couldn't be completed today and I should call back tomorrow. That is absolutely unacceptable treatment of customers and I am considering cancelling my policy after having been a customer for a very long time.
Absolutely brutal company to deal with. Good luck getting a hold of anyone unless you are opening a new policy …. Save yourself the headache and get insurance anywhere but Allstate
