It was very pleasant working with allstate even during our claim during the xmas storm of 22, it was very easy. We only switched agencies due to pricing.
Insurance is one of those things we all need to have, but unfortunately my experience with Allstate has been disappointing. When everything is calm, the service seems fine. But when an actual issue comes up (water line broke within the house) and you really need their support, the response feels slow, self-centered, and far from helpful.
