Dr. Akers is truly the best. She is so compassionate, patient & thorough. She’s the first doctor to go over my lab work thoroughly during a routine physical, she takes her time to hear out my concerns and provide solutions. I never feel rushed in my appointments, which is a big deal to me and very hard to find in the medical world.
I waited over 6 months to get an appointment with Dr. Akers, which I don’t have a big problem with; however, I was disappointed by the outcome because she was highly recommended by a close friend. Granted, if Naturopathic medicine was covered by insurance and they could order the tests I need—I would have ZERO need to see a conventional medicine doctor. Unfortunately, because of a current condition, I need to have an ultrasound every 6 months to monitor it and that must be ordered by a conventional doctor. Dr. Akers is not w... read more

We are lucky to have Dr. Akers in the valley. She is a great doctor and genuinely cares. My mom has her for a doctor as well and she thinks she is great too!
