Mazda 5 2009. First transmission rebuild $2000 cash. One year warranty. Seven months later AT trouble light. Stays in 2nd gear. No reverse. Took it back. Claims needs transmission rod. Charges $400 for labor. One year later AT trouble light again. Stays in 2d gear. Now my transmission and engine leaking. It's time to get rid of the car. My gut feeling tells me I got screwed!
My car spontaneously broke down on the freeway, long story short my trusted mechanic recommended Allied Transmission to get it checked out. Mike quickly assessed my car and ultimately I needed a new transmission. Because I know little about cars, I called the dealership and a couple of other transmission shops to do my due diligence. Conveniently could give a printout of the diagnostic. Lied about the need for a transmission replacement stating the problem was the torque converter. The car drives forward fine, won't shift into reverse. Wanted $4k to put in a used transmission. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS SHOP!!!
Been meaning to write this since February. The guys at Allied were amazing. Everywhere I called, no one could rebuild the transmission to my 2013 Ford Flex in less than a month, except for Allied Transmission. They told it would take about a week. I dropped it off on a Monday, they had it ready for pick up by Friday. The reason I needed it done soon was because that following Sunday, I was taking my family to Disneyland for the week, and this is our family road trip vehicle. The transmission performed flawlessly!
