Today the service tech was jaime from Allied Heating & Air Conditioning. It was his first visit to our home, and he was very friendly and seemed very skilled with our furnace system. He carefully completed all the needed furnace testing to make sure the unit was heating, cycling, and operating the way it should, and everything checked out well. We woke up to a house at 40 degrees in Boulder and found out our furnace had stopped heating. After trying a little troubleshooting on my own, I knew I needed expert HVAC help. After another HVAC company charged $90 and said our air conditioner could not be fixed because it uses R22 refrigerant, they tried to sell us a full new system for $8400. We then called Allied Heating & Air Conditioning, and a technician arrived within a couple of hours.
