We filed a claim for trip interruption for a widespread power outage than encompassed the entire island we were staying on cause by wind and the Prime Minister/power company held a press conference saying the duration of the power outage was unknown (fell under the natural disaster portion of our policy). Update - They sent a full refund!!!! Update...Since posting this I was contacted via Facebook chat. They are saying that the claim was made on October 8th (it was actually started on September 27th and due to power outages and no internet, we were not able to send the "proof" documentation in until the later date). I will update this review if they turn this around. I'm being told to wait it out and a claims examiner will review the case. Pease Allianz...make me eat my words. Allianz assistance is a total waste of & money my husband & I bought ins for a concert we were going to through this Co. we found out we had to cancel due to surgery I have to have with weeks of recovery but in order to receive our money back they want the doctor to give personal information on my condition which we where not willing to do I asked if a letter just stating date and place of surgery but they refused that so we are not out our money of the concert. Please do not use this company we will not be using it
During my recent visit to Quebec, Canada, June 20, 2025, I unfortunately sustained an injury. Thankfully, I had the foresight to purchase travel insurance, as one never knows what might occur. I have been utilizing Allianz for my travels since 2019, and this was my inaugural claim. The process has been satisfactory thus far, and I sincerely hope that the CHU university hospital in Quebec will not send me any further invoices . Im doing my recovering so well
Wow, this place is. A total waste of time and money, really offering no protection in case of an event cancellation etc. I'm out of $600 after over a week of them. Having 27 documents that I submitted then I sent them an email to Check-in with them to see if they could hurry up a little bit but politely.
