Last night we saw the documentary about Bill Cunningham. It was a fascinating peek into his life, capturing fashion and people. His warmth and engaging personality kept you constantly interested in what he did, and the people he connected with. After the film, moviegoers were treated to a panel discussion by the documentary's director and producer, and one of Bill's closet friends. The events are great. And the organization keeps the streets safe and clean. The shuttle service is also nice, but the bus sometimes gets inconvenient with delays.

Live and worked in Fidi since 1998. The staff on the street are downright rude and lazy. Too many examples to give. To think we actually donated to them years ago.

Alliance for Downtown is a great community organization which features excellent evening presentations of interest to residents of the area and other local general interest. This includes movies with 'talkbacks', book talks and items of social and historical relevance. Always stimulating and entertaining. They also run a very useful local bus service around the area. They are a very valuable resource.

Went to the Alliance’s sponsored movie event at the Alamo Draft House. What could be better than enjoying a great movie, “The Apartment,” followed by a live discussion with film critics Molly Haskell and Imogene Sara Smith and get this —>all for 5 bucks! …which BTW includes a drink and the best movie popcorn in town. As we NYers say, Fuhgeddaboudit!
