Allens Marine is absolutely a scam! I sent my 1979 Volvo Penta classic to get out drive repair work done. Mark calls me with a $1986 quote saying he could have me back in the water for that price. Giving someone a quote means that you went through the part to be repaired and agree that you can perform the work. Obviously he came up with this number off the top of his head because, if he would have went through the unit, he would have known exactly what he was getting into. Mark helped me get back on the water and ripping lips. I broke my big tiller handle and had some damage to my lower unit. He fixed the tiller within 2 days. Then i brought it back for the lower unit had it done in a few days. He was backed up. But he got me going fast with a new prop also. I would recommend Mark to anyone fast, dependable, professional and just a down to earth kind of guy.
