I've known Joel Payne for many years. He's an excellent advocate. He also has a much greater and intimate knowledge of technology in comparison to many of his colleagues amidst a somewhat anachronistic field. That knowledge has helped him modernize his workflow and improve how his field operates. The latter he is certainly at least a decade ahead of in that respect.
