We booked this tour through Princess Cruise Line and I believe there should have been more explicit disclosure in the write up. By taking this excursion we had zero time to see Ketchikan, let alone try to do anything in Ketchikan. It is a 5:30 time consumption and the ship is in port 6 hours. Over 4 hours of the time is motoring to or from the fjord that you will look at in clouds and rain. There is no food except for lite snacks that you can purchase. Sehr enttäuschender Ausflug. Uns ist klar, dass Wildtiersichtungen nicht garantiert werden können und dass die Natur nicht planbar ist – dafür machen wir dem Veranstalter keinen Vorwurf. Was jedoch enttäuschend war: Es gab offenbar keinen Plan B, keine Alternative und keine zusätzlichen Highlights, wenn genau das ausbleibt, worauf viele Gäste hoffen. We went on the Sea Otter tour in Sitka! The boat was beautiful and roomy very comfortable. The staff was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and friendly they did a great job explaining everything. We were very fortunate to see a gray Whale, sea otter and an eagle eating prey on the shoreline! Highly recommend
Took a wildlife tour through Princess Cruises! Whales, seals, and eagles. They were an awesome crew and very knowledgeable. 100% would use them again!
Oh my gosh such a great experience! The crew who took care of us names were Abby, Everr, Gaven, and John! They took good care of us! Answered and informed us on fun facts along the way. So many pretty sites! Definitely would do this again! And recommend it to anybody visiting Ketchikan.
