Our home buying process is not completely done yet, but so far we have been happy with their product. They have been very helpful in answering questions and following through with what they said they would take care of.
I’m very happy with our new home and the overall experience. We really love the layout of the house, and the neighborhood is exactly what we were looking for. The home has a great flow and feels like it was designed with everyday living in mind. One thing I especially appreciated during the building process was receiving weekly updates on the progress of our home. This company has been horrible. Currently living in a new home and have nothing but issues with Edwin Allen. They incorrectly installed an A/C unit, then tried to fix it without telling me they are mounting it to the home. Michigan has a lot of iron and harsh winters and this thing is going to break. I've requested they fix it multiple times by putting it on a concrete slab, like it should have been done the first time. There are several other issues and customer service doesn't do the right thing and fix it appropriately. T... read more
EDIT TO ADD they never resolved the issue with the driveway or sidewalk until I threatened to sue the concrete company directly and filed a complaint with the state. They never apologized or owned up to it either. They weren’t even going to fix it. Concrete guy didn’t want sued/investigated, and he stepped up and reached out to them to fix it and then they paid.
