Lived here for about 4 years and when I tell you this is probably the worst apartment complex I've ever lived in. For starters, the rent raised every year. Originally moved in at $575 shot up to $800 nothing in the apartment was updated besides the rent. Don't clear out snow in their driveway so you can't access it in the winter. Their AC units got stolen so most tenants were out AC for a whole month creating mold inside of the vents. (Why I moved) Neighbors were extremely loud. I have lived here for almost 3 years and haven’t had consistent reasonable air conditioning the entire time. Every summer has had well over a month of being way too hot inside my apartment. Plus 85 degrees Fahrenheit when I get home on a regular basis

I lived on Poplar St for just shy of four years and had a really great experience. The location was ideal close to SIU and shopping and I always felt safe while living there. Kerri was an excellent property manager. She responded incredibly quickly whenever I had a question or needed something. I wasn’t able to see the apartment in person before moving in, but she took the time to send me a video tour, which made the process easy and stress-free. RENTERS BEWARE!!!!!!! Alleman Property Management LLC Before renting from this "company", be sure that you read every single paragraph in their crafty lease!!!! They set it up so that there's no way that anyone will get their deposit back no matter how long they live there. Read the Illinois Renters Rights. A landlord cannot charge you for painting after moving because of normal wear and tear, including small holes for pictures. Don't we all hang pictures? Can only charge if you change the color.
