Every time I have an appointment and it hits the first of the month my benefits disappear until I go to my appointment. For example, I have an appointment in a couple weeks, today is the first of the month and my baby needs milk so I went to check my portal and it says I have no benefits. This happens Everytime. So now I have to wait for my appointment to get my card loaded again. This is awful and they should not do this to people!!!!!
Confusing but thankful to finally get WIC. Whoever does the phone service isn't very nice (I've called a few times, always the same vibe) luckily when I went there were 3 workers and all seemed to be nice. I liked my caseworker. WIC is very confusing though and shopping for it and the guidelines/whats allowed. I wish it was more black and white or more lenient because it's tough. Either way very thankful for WIC. Wish I used this program for my son 11 years ago.
