this is not the first time I have been unhappy with this practice-have been dealing with them for 15ys with the family-there is always a hassle with getting glasses and necessary repairs and pickup-dr.sibble is great the receptionists are not friendly or nice and are clueless and incompetent.so for this particular instince my daughter was seen on jan10 and needs glasses-since her insurance will start feb 1 decided to wait so it will be covered-so I called to give info before february and the receptionist was nasty and said t... read more
These people are very good, but I am dismayed that I've had broken glasses for a month and they remain closed while apparently some other ophthalmologists are open... Very frustrating.

I've been getting my eyes check and glasses here for a long time. This time around the lab forgot to put in my photo gray into my lenses, I waited a few weeks, and when I finally got them I couldn't see out of them at all. The left lense is so blurry that i have to bring them back after the holidays to get them corrected but not at my expense. I paid the full amount for these glasses So please consider what i have to look through at this time. I'm not too happy at this time.
I have never been more offended, and pissed off by the way my daughter (who is 2) and I were treated today by Dr Johnson. I was referred to Allegany Eye Associates by my eye doctor and when I called I said "my daughter does NOT do well with doctors so I would prefer a doctor that is best with children". My visit went ok; however, it would be nice if they were on Saturdays. Their hours are not consumer friendly at all because they are open basically the same hours that most people work. Find it inconvenient to pick up our glasses cause I work the same hours that they're open. I had to take a day off for an eye exam but will not take one off to pick them up. They are a business that caters to the public therefore should absolutely be open on Saturdays!!!!
I am very disappointed with the care, or should I say the lack of care, from this corporation. I will call them a corporation because they are not interested in providing excellent or even adequate patient care. They are only interested in the almighty dollar. For years, my son has received yearly vision exams from Dr. Alwan. Unfortunately, Dr. Alwan retired and we were referred to Allegany Eye Associates.
