Taken me too long to write this, but I would recommend over and over. Chip is the ultimate renaissance man. Chef, guide, story teller, chauffeur…. Be prepared to work, it’s not an easy trip, but it will give you peace. Chip’s experience and knowledge cannot be matched. Great for families too. Can’t wait to do it again.

My husband and I had a great time on our 5-day Allagash trip (Sept 12-16 Adult trip). We had a mix of novice and experienced canoers on our trip and Chip guided us all safely down the river. His instruction and tips for paddle strokes and reading the river were very helpful. I am a novice and felt supported by both Chip and the group. Chip's outdoor culinary skills are remarkable.
