One off the most unprofessional experiences I've ever had with a contractor. They tried to use electrical tape to fix a belt and it got some one stuck. Only found out what they did becuase another company was called out and saw their bs repair. Beware of this company.
For the past 19 months All Types Elevators have been contracted for "monthly maintenance" of an elevator which has not been repaired. From July 2024 to October 2024 All Types Elevator refused to acknowledge that the elevator was out of operation. When a technician was finally sent work was only done on one part of the elevator, the elevator was not returned to service and we were charged over a thousand dollars for this incomplete "repair." I leave this review with a history of only doing so if I feel strongly about the entity in question, but with nearly three decades of asset and property management experience I note that we have have utilized All-Types for over a quarter of a century to do our elevator-related projects at our properties, including newly built cars and their maintenance. They did a great job. Turned out generator for elevator was defective. They came out promptly, diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Everyone I dealt with was professional and honest. Whenever I had a question, they have a 24 hour answering service that can answer questions or direct you to a decisionmaker who knows the answer
I live in a residential apt complex in Uptown Chicago. Our Property Manager uses this company to fix the elevator when it’s down, which is out of my control. They show up on time and do their job. But while doing their job, the technicians flirt and make the female residents uncomfortable. Coming home today, my wife proceeds to tell me how the technician would not leave her alone as she tried walking away and telling him politely to leave her alone.
