Not sure if the owners have done karaoke much but they do it a lot differently. Sometimes you don't even get called up as if your slips are lost. I also noticed when new people came in the bar and signed up (unlike most karaoke DJs) they didn't not get put in the shuffle in a quick way. They were SEVERAL people away from being called up. This isn't typical. When you get new people, you put them in next so they want to stay. Not have them wait 30 minutes for a song. Been doing this for 20+ years. DJ for my wedding did not play any of the songs I told him I specifically wanted played, then one of my guests requested a song (which I said requests were ok) and he said no because I (the bride) wouldn’t like it and that she needed to go ask me. Why would you say that to one of my guests?! (The person was my bosses WIFE!) super embarrassing when she told me that.
