Update to my previous post. I feel blessed that NY cat's urine culture indicates she does not need to be on a different antibiotic. But, my cat seems to be declining. All Paws ordered a chicken flavored nausea suspension called (ondansetron). Fortunately, I consulted with the compounding pharmacist who informed me this med is contradicted in cats with renal dysfunction as my cat does since it is metabolized by the kidneys. I brought my cat to All Paws Vet clinic in Big Lake for the first time on 10/7/24 after bringing her to an emergency vet earlier where it was found she had stage 3 renal failure and impacted anal sacs. The one and only vet at All Paws in Big Lake Carrie Clarkson was kind but she was only able to express a small amount of her anal sac in which she said was grape sized.
