Update: The owner took my review very seriously and handled the situation the way a good business owner should. He reached out, apologized, and offered me a free food trial and shampoo to try for my dog. He told me that if it doesn’t work, we’ll figure something else out. As a long-time pet person, I deeply value having everyone at All Creatures Great and Small always at the ready to help me help my cats and dogs. Truly, all there - the veterinarians and staff - are dedicated, skilled and caring. Another wonderful aspect about them is that they also are impressively attentive to keeping costs reasonable. My family and everyone else whom we know who use this practice, LOVE All Creatures.
I took my 8-month-old puppy to this vet for a skin rash, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The vet told me looks like I got a dog who is going to have “a lot of skin issues” then left the room. Before that he recommended allergy testing that would cost nearly $2,000. The rash ended up being a reaction to either the new food I got him or irritation from playing in his pool. What bothered me most is that they never even gave me an actual diagnosis for the rash. I brought my 10-year-old orange cat in for a routine veterinary visit. Apparently nobody told the vet tech that it was a routine visit. I watched her scruff him and press his head down into the exam table so aggressively that I actually started edging my way in to take over. Ma'am. This is an orange house cat, not a suspect resisting arrest. I was half expecting someone to yell, “STOP RESISTING!” while another tech came running in with the tiny cat-sized handcuffs.
