I would not recommend Alison Lester for estate planning. She prepared my mother's Will and Power of Attorneys however, she refused to act after my mother's death. The named Executor "lost" the original will and Alison refused to take the necessary action to certify a photocopy of her will as a "true copy". No other versions of her Will were presented. No-one contested the photopcopied Will that Alison prepared. But Alison still refused to act. The law society of Ontario has advised me that Alison is not obligated to act. It ... read more

I really wanted to give this firm a 5* rating but not after what happened…. I had called them, gave them a full explanation of what I needed, which was a pretty strait forward transaction. They quoted a price which I agreed to and then they proceeded to almost quadruple the price quoted for the transaction ….. when I called them on it they just said “it was more work then we thought” , ….not so, I actually spent a total of 40 minutes with them and all went smoothly. I really felt conned by the bait and switch.

If I had to give Alison Lester and her team a grade it would be A++. Very friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and thorough. I highly recommend her for legal services.

Thank goodness for Pat and Alison! I am genuinely so grateful for the help they provided to us while purchasing a new home, refinancing a property and juggling some title changes.
