Alison Katus has given me the best medical care I have ever received. She listens to your concerns and gets to the underlying issues. I have always felt respected in her care. I can't say enough good things about her.
The comments from Joanna B are simply frustrating, but not because of her own frustration in reaching help for her concerns. I never mean to downplay, demean, or not listen to another's concerns. Frankly, with our very limited in-house and community resources, I find it very difficult to connect patients with the contacts that will truly help. I am sorry that our encounter made her feel the way she describes.
I’m using a fake name obviously, but this is the most insensitive, uneducated person I’ve met with in the medical field here on Whidbey. Only come to her if you need a flu shot or something. If you have any psychological problems, know that she will say ALL the typical ignorant comments you have heard your whole life, you will go home and cry. I promise you.
