Excellent physician.
I did not care for Dr. Gavrila. I met her one time. She had none of my medical history and wasn't able to pull it up on the computer. She asked me to tell her everything then jotted it down on paper. Later in reading my visit summary she had made a lot of mistakes. She wrote down that I still had 1/2 my thyroid when I had had a complete thyroidectomy. Does not seem familiar with current medical consensus on treating thyroid cancer. Prescribed aggressive hormone therapy for over a year, damaging my body and health, for a tiny, harmless nodule. Also ordered a CT scan on me which was performed at Beth Israel Hospital without telling me what was being done and without my consent. I was finally saved from the ravages of treatment-induced hyperthyroidism when the radiologist and surgeon warned me I'd been mis-diagnosed with cancer recurrence
