We stayed at Alila Ventana Big Sur for a night in March, and the experience was overall wonderful. The weather was perfect, around 70°F. This was our second visit, and as a Globalist, we were fortunate to receive an upgrade to the Pacific Coast Suite, which was a great perk. The food remains excellent, though we noticed that portion sizes have been reduced (e.g., the steak). Where should I start? This place is nestled in a serene redwood forest with incredible views in every direction. There are plenty of hiking options around the resort, along with various other activities within the property. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the amenities are well thought out—whether it’s the infinity pool or the Japanese hot baths. INCREDIBLE!!! What an experience - the service was impeccable, the food was delicious (some dishes deserving of Michelin status), and the venue was beautiful and peaceful.
I came to Alila Ventana Big Surr with my wife for our honeymoon for 1 night. To start, the views from the hotel are absolutely stunning. The drive to the resort alone offers amazing views. Our room was spectacular (room 35). I have never seen anything like it. It felt like I was at home and still managed to portray a modern feel. And the staff went above and beyond.
