I keep abreast of new approaches and research, in order to apply the most effective treatments for my patients. I take a holistic, eclectic approach.

Alida is an excellent speech therapist. She is kind and understanding, and will meet you where you are with your progress while pushing you to improve. Lessons are tailored to meet your personal goals. I'm very grateful to have found her and to learn from her!
Transgender voice lessons! Get the voice you've always wanted and make it a reality! I worked with Alida for approximately 6+ months in order to adjust my voice to a pitch I found more in line with my gender identity. I went to Alida Engel for speech therapy for 4 years in order to better manage my stutter. Alida is a wonderful therapist and I would highly recommend her to others. A lot of our work together was based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, where I learned to accept myself and the way I speak. Alida helped me to identify where a lot of my speaking anxieties and insecurities were coming from and how to overcome these anxieties so that they no longer dictate the way in which I interact with others. I have been visiting Alida for 14 years. She has helped me very much with learning how to socialize with my peers and I still use her skills to this day. Alida is very compassionate, open minded and caring. I am very thankful for her help throughout the years.
