Sadly, modern healthcare often feels more like a corporate business than a service, prioritizing profit over people. Dr. Shelly made me feel truly valued as a patient and genuinely cared for. She was patient, thorough in her assessment, informative and intentional about giving me space to ask questions. Everything from the short wait time to her impeccable bedside manner created a wonderful patient experience. Dr. Shelly is a true credit to her profession and an asset to Wellstar.
My sister is 73 years old. Dr. Shelly is her PCP. She has been seeing her a couple years. When she calls sick she is always referred to Urgent Care, which is ridiculous for a PCP not to work sick patients in. She hurt her foot over a week ago and had to go to Doulasville Hosp. Her blood pressure was 205/103. The bone on top of her foot was severely bruised. The ER doctor was concerned about her blood pressure but sent her home to follow up her PCP asap.
