Dr. Altheimer is an execlent physician. She's been my primary care doctor for several years and has put herself out to meet my needs, occasionally on her own time. But she has been asked to leave by the Hospital Sisters Health System. What a travesty!!! I am devastated for myself and Dr. Altheimer. HSHS is clearly not "commited to providing high quality care" as the "response from owner" under Carol Long's post states. Dr. Altheimer will be missed greatly. As her patient I felt like an active participant in my healthcare and for the first time someone listened. I look forward to seeing where she lands in the future.
My daughter and I have been going to Dr. Altheimer since she joined HSHS. We are so upset that she is leaving. Our hope was to follow her wherever she is going but now I got a letter that she won’t be in my provider network. We truly don’t know what we are going to do about a primary care physician. One thing we do know, whoever it is will not be with HSHS.
She is one of the best doctors I have ever seen/had. Very knowledgeable, personable, compassionate and professional. Received a letter from HSHS that she will no longer be my doctor and assigned someone else. Why does HSHS do this? It is not okay with me and I will not make a new appointment with HSHS chosen replacement. This upsets me terribly and I know a lot of her patients that are very upset because of HSHS decision.
