I moved to Boise last summer and had to find new health care providers. Fortuneately, Ali Makki had opened his practice to new patients last fall. Dr Makki is probably the most through, knowledgeable general physician that I have ever dealt with. He made some simple changes to my medications that I had been taking for years which made a dramatic postive impact on my blood labs. Not impressed with Dr Maki at all. First visit ever and he spent half the time trying to convince me to change around meds I have been on for a decade and that are working. Another issue that I know is a problem was basically dismissed. I didn't appreciate being talked to like I'm an idiot.

I have not had a great experience with Dr. Makki as a primary care physician. After an incident of passing out that led to an ER visit, I had intense issues with pressure in my head, ringing in my ears, and sinus pressure. At no time during that follow up appointment were my ears looked at. I was not referred at that time to an ENT either. I was hooked up to an expensive heart monitor for 3 days, told I needed anti anxiety medication, and put through the ringer with expensive medical testing that proved to not be of any valu... read more
