Dr. Aamar is very kind and actually listens to his patients! I would recommend him to anyone who has tried over and over to get answers, only to be dismissed and eventually just give up. Dr. Aamar makes you feel heard and hopeful. It’s great to be treated by a doctor who cares.
Dr. Aamar was just what I was looking for in a provider: someone that would listen to me. Primary care, infectious disease, and previous GI, all three insisted that a negative c diff after antibiotics... could NOT be a FALSE NEGATIVE. After 4 months I know what my body is telling me, Dr Aamar retested and yes he got me the 14-day vancomycin antibiotic and ID appointment downtown. The exam was a joke. Basically there was no physical exam. He didn't even get me on the exam table. He didn't listen to what I tried to convey as far as symptoms. Didn't listen to me when I told him I live 10 minutes away from his office and referred me to a pain specialist 45 minutes away. He said I need a colonoscopy. I've already had a colonoscopy for this problem. Avoid "Dr" Aamar, there's better doctors out there.
Houston Methodist took very good care of me after my surgery. I highly recommend them. They are extremely efficient, friendly, clean, and fast. They answered all of my questions and always asked if I had any more questions.
