Just got back from partcipating in Algonquin Basecamp's excellent Winter Hot Tent Program. Algonquin Basecamp is a great outfitter providing quality gear and knowledgeable assistance. I would highly recommend this family business for your outdoor adventures.
The staff were knowledgeable. They helped us plan our canoe route, provided all the gear we needed, and even shared tips about wildlife spotting and backcountry camping. Everything was clean, organized, and clearly maintained with care. I forgot to check if they had PortagePal to sell.
They hooked us up big time to be able to camp in -35 temps with no hot tent. They were super helpful with the planning of the trip and making sure we were still comfortable to go despite the gnarly weather. Felt like sleeping inside of a hot cinnamon roll.

We have rented from Basecamp many times over the years. Always a great experience with very good equipment. The shop has those essentials that you need in case you forgot anything.
