My family and I have been renting canoes from Algonquin Basecamp for about ten years now. This family run business is second to none and go the extra mile to ensure we have a great trip every time. They have even taken it upon themselves to call us a few weeks out from our trip to let us know about river conditions and if we would prefer to adjust our route. 5/5 stars everytime!
The team at Algonquin basecamp is absolutely top notch. We had a tree limb fall and damage both canoes we rented and they immediately provided replacements even delivering 1 in the back country for us. Thanks again for all your help and ensuring that we had a great stay in the park. I highly recommend Algonquin basecamp and will definitely be using them again in the future.
Awesome family-run shop. The owners were very friendly/easy-going and had lots of advise to share with our group. We rented 4 canoes for a portaging trip--it was a zero-hassle experience and the canoes (H2O Prospector 16′) were excellent, super light and easy to paddle. Would definitely return.
I am updating my review from 3 years ago. I have continued to rent from Algonquin Basecamp and they are fantastic. This year the road to the access point was washed out. The staff went above and beyond keeping me updated on the status of the road and ensuring our canoe was at the launch. They also arranged for us to collect our gear after hours which was very helpful. Our trip went off without a hitch because of everyone at Algonquin Basecamp. We will definitely be back.
