When it comes to the subject of thyroid disease he is very closed minded. He relies solely on numbers on a chart rather than considering the fact that the patient still has negative symptoms and maybe needs a new approach. I was made to feel that the symptoms I have been suffering with for years are all in my head. This attitude is extremely frustrating, disappointing and unhelpful. He needs to understand that thyroid disease is not a one size fits all problem with a one size fits all solution!
I saw Dr. Figueroa as a first time patient recently and I cannot say enough nice things about him. He talked with me for a long time about all of my concerns and walked me personally himself to the lab area to have blood drawn after the appointment.
Dr. Figueroa is an amazing doctor, he is down to earth and actually gets to know his patients. He is humorous and personable and doesn't rush you in and out of the office. He also doesn't just care about the money, if you are an established patient and get sick you can call him and he will return your call himself and will save you a trip to the office if he can. I cannot say enough positive things about him, I've been a patient for nearly 10 years.
Dr. Figueroa-Dr Fig the office staff used to call him-was a terrific doctor! He spent time with me, he explained things to me, and I really felt he cared about me as a patient. I liked him so much that I had my husband switch over to him. When I had shingles, he prescribed three medications for me, and the shingles were gone within three days! I am middle aged, and he was also very popular with the older patients. I was heartbroken when he left our area.
Dr.Figueroa is a wonderful doctor and very caring with a great personality. I always enjoy his warm welcome.
