gave out extensive private and confidential information to a third party without my consent and falsified my consent in writing when i never gave it. not even mentioning the completely abhorrent and misogynistic way i was spoken to and treated by the practitioner i saw here (i have never been treated so maliciously by anyone else by a long shot, not just across healthcare but across my entire life), majorly breaching the privacy act, this place should not be operating
I went to this "service" to have my foster child re diagnosed. She was diagnosed when she first came into care and has quite a few delays. She was born with FASD and had been diagnosed with CYMHS years ago. just before starting secondary this year I tried to get her diagnosis now as a lot has changed since she was 3. We went in and I was made to feel like an idiot so I shut down and then so did my child. Her sister has autism and the school is feeling she is as well. I couldn't get out of there quick enough. I've never felt more judged or insignificant in my life than I did talking to these people. They were the cause of my relapse, emergency visit to the hospital and nearly the cause of the end of my life as I truly felt like they could not care less about me or what happened to me in the long run. A 5 hour stay at Monash Children's Hospital did twenty times more for me than three months I was with Alfred. Not to mention the 6 month wait period to get assigned in which I was constantly unsafe and nobody knew how to help me. The... read more
coming here destroyed my trust in mental health care and left me alone without a support network
I felt like I was judged from day 1 (single parent), with no real help for my son, we were going to appointments there for over a year. My advice is to go private, get a psychiatrist refferal.
